LEAVING LOUD BEHIND

Quality Drums made in Germany

In a world where a drum is a drum is a drum, Adoro drums are not like all those others. They’re not about being trendy or delivering big, bold, brash, and loud sounds. Instead they have elegant classic styling and avoid those extreme sonic cliches that have dominated drum making for the past 50-plus years in favour of delivering true musical tone in drums that excel in the low- to moderate-volume range.

In short, we leave loud to the others.

Such a difference makes us unique. In fact, we are possibly the first and only drum maker to design shells that reduce volume below the levels of not only the big and boomy kits, but even ordinary drums in favour of boosting tone.

This we can do because we understand the dynamics of volume, apply physics in our shell designs, and tone theory is a reality with us. Such awareness lets us create the Decibel Reduction Design that reduces the volume of our Worship, Symphonie, and Sweet Sixteen drums, offer kit customising with our multi-award-winning City Lights series, and design the Dual Loop Reflex Tips that make our Silent Sticks so effective at cutting drum and cymbal volume by up to 80%. Even our Lotus Convertible bass pedal, with its revolutionary cardan drive shaft and nine patents pending, is the result of us going to places no other drum makers go.

As that Lotus Convertible suggests, Adoro is about more than just drums. There is Lotus Hardware, which includes high-speed single and multi-pedals, specially designed Adoro Drumheads that improve and enhance the performance of any brand of drums, and Silent Sticks and Silent Beater, which conveniently cut drum volume by up to 80%.

Yes, we are no ordinary drum maker. Our HQ in Hamburg, Germany is a combination craftsman’s workshop and creative design lab. There are no production lines nor idle brains. We do everything by hand. And we think a lot about new possibilities. We don’t just make; we create.

Maybe it is because we are German that our focus is on unique and efficient designs of the highest quality. But we like to think that by avoiding clichés in favour of designs that are more relevant to what drummers need, Adoro is moving the drumming experience to new places, not merely repeating the past or making something bigger, bolder, brasher and louder.

We also like to think that when you experience Adoro you will agree – we are beyond excellence as we go to places no other drum maker goes.
